What is TBIN?
Triton Brain Injury Network (TBIN) is a student organization at UCSD that facilitates outreach efforts to provide recreational support for brain injury survivors. By partnering with Peer Support Network (PSN), we hope to connect students with survivors on a personal level and make new connections. Students will partner with survivors and meet them through one on one meetings and monthly gatherings. We also host general body meetings (GBMs) and plan to have guest speakers to increase the awareness of traumatic brain injury.
Partnership with Peer Support Network
Peer Support Network (PSN) exists to aid in improving the quality of life for adults between the ages of 18 and 65 years with acquired disabilities. Support is provided through financial, material, and time donations, utilizing a peer to peer platform, and is based on individual needs. Their vision is to develop a network of individuals committed to enabling a higher quality of life for disabled individuals and their families who are unable to meet their own financial and material needs.

A Message from Our Founder
President: Jahnavi Prasanna
Hello! My name is Jahnavi, and I’m a fourth year neurobiology major in Revelle college at UCSD. I joined TBIN because I had an interest in building community and supporting members of our community who are disabled. TBIN has been one of the greatest experiences in my time at UCSD, allowing me to meet plenty of compassionate and caring people, from survivors to students, who have all widened my view of the world and taught me so much. As Co-President of TBIN, I hope to build and expand our community connections and increase our involvement with disability history. I look forward to many more in person events and hangouts with my survivor this year!

Co-President: Sunshine Falkoff
Hi! My name is Sunshine and I’m a fourth year psychology major. I joined TBIN because I thought it was a great way to be involved in my community; I also think it’s so important to support communities that are not as well known. Going to TBIN meetings and visiting my survivor always puts the biggest smile on my face. I love everything about TBIN and I’m so excited to be on the TBIN board to help raise awareness about brain injury survivors!

Hi!! I’m Jamie Hau-Riege, and I am a junior Clinical Psychology major with a General Biology minor. Joining TBIN has allowed me to be in community with people all over the disability spectrum. As I fill the position for Publicity and Marketing, I hope to bring an authentic light to TBIN and display our caring approach to volunteering!

Hello! I am a fourth year Human Biology major and Psychology minor. This year, I am TBIN's secretary and have been involved in the organization since last year. I enjoyed getting involved in the volunteering events that were hosted, as well as being able to connect with a survivor. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about school or TBIN!
